My interest in photography started as a child and it has only been a natural progression for me to pursue photography as a career. Although I had planned to attend college to become an elementary school teacher, my peers were urging me to consider photography as my career. My personal work was being purchased and I was being hired for family and commercial portraits before I even considered myself in business. Since I started professionally in 1998 while still in high school, several pieces of my work have both won awards and been published in a variety of sources. In 2006, I was accepted into the Professional Photographers of America organization (PPA) and also invited to be a member of the Cambridge Who's Who directory.

I love building a relationship with families - capturing the love, beauty, emotion, and dynamics of your family to be remembered for generations to come. I enjoy the presence of children and am more than happy to spend the time necessary to make them comfortable so we can capture a timeless expression of their innocence, joy, and also their loving bond with you. I also love everything to do with weddings - the excitement and anticipation, and the beauty and love that is emphasized on that special day. I do everything in my power to assure that your day runs smoothly and as stress-free as possible.

Quality is also very important to me. I use top-of-the-line equipment and a professional printing lab. Although I am easy going, I maintain a professional attitude and treat your family and friends with dignity and respect, and I do not take pictures that they will be embarrassed by.

On the more personal side...
I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN and schooled at the University School of Nashville and continued education through the New York Institute of Photography. I have been happily married since May 2001 and spent the first three years of marriage living in Carson City, Nevada before returning to Tennessee. I do not have any children of my own yet, just two adoring cats - Tucker and Tripod. (Don't worry, they aren't allowed in the studio just in case anyone is allergic to animals.)
