FOR ALL PORTRAIT SESSIONS
Feel free to bring as many different changes of clothing as you would like to have on hand. I always try to allow two hours per session. Many are in and out in an hour, and some take longer. I have several different backdrops and props available to use. I keep taking pictures until you feel we have accomplished everything you'd like to see. Usually, your online album will be ready for viewing sometime the next day if not the same day. Its very easy to order online. There is no minimum order requirement or a time limit for ordering, however there are discounts applied to your single order when it exceeds $200.

For clothing choices - I recommend avoiding patterns, especially busy patterns. Choose clothing that you feel good wearing - if you are feeling self conscious, it most likely will show in the pictures as an unnatural smile. Any colors are fine. If you are coordinating clothing for a family - make sure the intensity of the colors are the same. A bright red and a faded red together is not attractive.

Family/Children Portrait Sessions

Feel free to bring as many different outfits as you'd like, and plan on spending 1-2 hours with me. Typically, I will take family group shots, and then also take pictures of each child individually, and also combinations of the children together, children with each parent... any combinations that you would like to have. Parents, I will encourage you to interact with your children similar to how you might play with them at home. If the picture is focusing on the child - then prepare to engage your child in conversation or be the entertainer to get them to laugh.
If your children are really young, I recommend having some easy snacks and juice boxes on hand. There will usually be plenty of time for your young ones to take a break and relax a bit to get reorganized. Its hard work being a young model!

Newborn Sessions

At this stage, there is actually a lot we can do. I suggest bringing blankets you might want to incorporate into a few pictures, as well as any items that are sentimental or heirlooms. A picture may also be personalized by bringing items related to your field of work or special interests. For example, my brother has always loved heavy machinery. I have an oversized Tonka truck and when his son was 2 months old, I folded up some silky brown fabric over some towels in the back of the truck, and placed his sleeping baby in it. Items such as sports paraphernalia, or fireman's or police officers hats, cowboy boots and hats ... items like these will show the interest of the family, but also just how small your baby is.
Other than that - our focus will be to get simple and timeless images of your baby. I have a baby bouncer and a small bean bag to place your baby in for support, and then capture pictures up close of the face, hands, feet, small body parts like the ears and bellybutton, and full body. We can also get a lot of you holding your baby. View the Infant portfolio for an idea of what images you can expect.

You will be allowed to stop and feed your baby anytime - but come prepared with extra diapers and burp cloths!

**SPECIAL** Come for four sessions during your baby's first year and receive a free 12x12 or 8x16 composite or panel for free!

Infant 3-9 months Sessions

Your baby is more alert and interactive now. Besides changes of clothing, you might bring toys they are familiar with that will catch their attention and make them laugh. Be prepared to be the entertainer for your child also! During these months, you can still bring blankets and personal interest items, but you might also want to grab a few of your baby's favorite books. Also, bring snacks for them.

**SPECIAL** Come for four sessions during your baby's first year and receive a free 12x12 or 8x16 composite or panel for free!

1-2 Year Sessions

I have styrofoam numbers to represent their age that can be used in a few pictures. I do not have birthday hats or other items to represent their milestone. If you want pictures that include hats or party items - you will need to bring those with you. Otherwise, we will be focusing on capturing the personality of your child and just having fun. I do usually have bubbles which children this age enjoy. If your child has a favorite set of books - this is a good time to use them in pictures. I have a few different chairs that are perfect for this age group, as well as a rocking horse and hats. Oh, and I'm all for bribery. If you have some special treats that will get your child to do what you want him or her to do - bring them!! There is a McDonalds three miles from my house though if you forget.

Maternity Sessions

Congratulations! Its such an exciting time! If you are just newly pregnant and are interested in doing a panel that shows the progression of your changes - contact me right away. You can start as early as you would like to, and choose the weeks/months that you want to track - and the last picture on the panel is you holding your newborn. Choose one outfit that is elastic and will grow with you that you can wear for each session.
If you are getting closer to your due date - I recommend waiting until you are obviously big but still able to move around comfortably - perhaps toward the middle-end of your 8th month. I have had several who come in within just a week or two of their due date, but you run the risk of your baby coming earlier than your session is booked.

For this session - bring a few changes of clothing if you would like to. You will not be pressured to do anything you aren't comfortable with. You can show as much or as little skin as you are comfortable with. I have black, white, and bronze satin fabrics that we can use to drape around the body - and I have black and white tube tops. A white button down shirt and maternity jeans is always a classic. If you want to use items such as baby shoes, or clothing or a special toy - please bring those with you. Please view the maternity portfolio for some ideas and possibilities.

Adults, Couples, or Seniors

Again, you can bring as many different clothing changes as you want. We will use a few different backdrops and just focus on you! Make sure you have put on lotion and chapstick to keep your skin from looking dry or chapped. I probably wont use any props other than stools or chairs so that the focus stays on you. If you want to bring items that relate to your sports interest or personal activities you are welcome to.
If you are wanting a glamour session, I do have feather boas and a few peices of costume jewelry and a few hats. I would recommend bringing some different lip glosses or lipsticks, and some of your own jewelry to make it more personal.
